I heard a song on the radio several weeks ago. It caught my attention, but then, I couldn't remember the singer's name.
I stopped in at Starbucks this afternoon, and there was her CD! Her name is Angelique Kidjo. The music is amazing! The song that I posted is a duet with Joss Stone. The song I heard on the radio is a duet with Peter Gabriel - amazing!
I bought the CD with my birthday money from my folks. Thanks Mom and Daddy! :)

Oh man! We're probably going to get an east coast posting Tammy, what a bummer. We probably won't be here when you move but you know what? You are so lucky to being going west. It's the most beautiful area of North America IMO. We just can't afford it where we are, it's ridiculously expensive.

Bummer Suzie that you'll probably move away before Mike and I move up there (if we do!) but I hope your new posting is good for you!! We've done some looking at Cost of Living and it's cheaper there than here! Colorado is insanely expensive too!

What a gorgeous face on the album cover. My husband was a professional photographer in NYC many years ago (the 50's) and this is the type of shot that he loved.

Ginnie - I tell ya - the song I heard before buying it was almost enough to make me buy it, but what convinced me when I saw the CD was the cover.
She is an amazingly beautiful woman, and the shot is just gorgeous!
